About Me

Born and raised in central Illinois, I developed a passion for art at a very young age. As I grew, I knew I wanted to make a life out of it, which led me to Northern Illinois University where I focused on visual communications. That’s when my excitement for graphic design began, and I’ve loved every moment of it since.
My career spans a range of environments and projects that have all added dimensionality to my work. Currently, I lead a team of designers in developing an updated interim brand look for Neogen Corporation following a large acquisition. I previously led graphic design for Avascent, supporting the company’s growth which eventually led to the sale of the business. I also provide graphic design services to The Children’s Heart Foundation, supporting fundraising events generating more than $7 million for the Foundation’s mission. Prior to these roles, I led in-house design at General Dynamics Information Technology, supporting multiple large business units and programs in a multi-billion dollar organization, adhering to and extending brand guidelines while introducing creativity to the brand to effectively bring campaigns and solutions to life. In that role, I sought increased responsibility and a diversity of high-value projects that both extended my skills while providing support to critical business projects. Previous to GDIT, I was a graphic designer at a fast-paced Chicago design firm, serving multi-national clients including Allstate and Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, in roles that trained me to juggle multiple clients, to work fast and efficiently, and to strengthen my client communication and independent problem-solving abilities. When not designing in the corporate environment, I enjoy volunteering my design time and talents and maintain an intensive running schedule including mentoring other runners.
